ROFF supports culture in Portugal as patron of MAAT exhibition “The Happy Show”

ROFF apoia a cultura em Portugal como mecenas da exposição “The Happy Show” no MAAT

ROFF, a Gfi Group company and portuguese leader in the implementation of SAP software solutions, is the exclusive patron of the new exhibition at the MAAT (Museum of Art, Architecture and Technology) – “The Happy Show”, the work of Austrian designer Stefan Sagmeister.

Francisco Febrero, CEO of ROFF, explains, “In our business culture at ROFF, we are always seeking to achieve ethically and socially committed management, and we believe that the promotion of culture is part of our responsibility and an added asset to the positioning of our brand. The MAAT is one of the most important cultural projects in Lisbon, and therefore, one of our objectives is to reinforce the intervention of our programme of social responsibility in the area of culture right here in the city where we have our headquarters. We believe that our partnership with the EDP Foundation and the MAAT—which is a great honour for us, I might add—is the ideal project for our support of the dissemination of contemporary art.

Stefan Sagmeister is one of the most highly applauded international designers and an indisputable figure in the culture of design of the last decade. Using video, infographics, sculptures and interactive installations that are humorous, provocative and interactive, the exhibition is a journey through the mind of Sagmeister and his apparently simple, innovative visions of how to be happy.

“The Happy Show” was organised by the Institute of Contemporary Art of the University of Pennsylvania and curator Claudia Gould, Helen Goldsmith Menschel Director of The Jewish Museum, New York.

The exhibition, inaugurated on April 13, is open to the public at the MAAT until June 4, 2018.

During the year, ROFF will continue to support initiatives of the MAAT, a museum that crosses three areas in a space for debate, discovery, critical thinking and international dialogue.
